mp3splt-gtk software package provides GTK interface to split MP3 and Ogg Vorbis files without reencoding, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install mp3splt-gtk
mp3splt-gtk is installed in your system.
Make ensure the mp3splt-gtk package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep mp3splt-gtk *
You will get with mp3splt-gtk package name, version, architecture and description in a table
